Party!

Last night Kyle (Ky-oh), Cammi (DanDan -- everyone whose name she can't pronounce is DanDan -- Karen, Brandon, etc.), Veronica (DanDan Mommy), and Ted (Ted) came over for dinner. They brought homemade chicken enchiladas and beans and rice. It was amazing. The kids had a blast and ate a lot. Casey has been eating more lately. She's good about trying different things but doesn't usually eat that much of anything, except for apples, pears, raisins, craisins, shredded cheese, salmon, chicken, yogurt, ice cream, and sometimes cereal. Lately we've been putting peanut butter on her apples and she sometimes rejects the apples in favor of a giant spoonful of peanut butter. (We weighed her on Saturday and she was 23 pounds.)

Last time they came over we made dinner for them because Veronica had completed a duathalon (run bike run). This time they cooked for us because I did a half marathon. I stayed in San Francisco the night before and it was my first night away from Casey. I got seven hours of sleep. That's seven hours in a row, which was worth the pain of the half marathon and of being away.

November 5 is coming up, our anniversary with Casey. The four other local families in our group are coming over for dinner on the Saturday night before to celebrate family day, the day we met Casey, Brynn, Ashley, Cammi, and Ava. We can't wait.
