Back to school

Casey was so happy to see her school buddies. She's meeting a lot of new kids in her class. I can't believe she's a second grader!

It was a hot weekend, so we went to Max and Jonah's to play in the pool. 

Daycare girls reunion

We finally got together with all of the daycare girls. The kids and the moms all had a great time playing, chatting, and eating. The girls rang the door of their old daycare and said hi to Marcy. She was very surprised! It was so fun to see everyone.

After Tahoe we went to see Heather, Aaron, and Hayley. Heather had a wild day planned for us, starting with the dollar store. Each girl got 6 bucks and we set them loose. It was hilarious. They each carried around 6 things and kept trading up as they saw more fun stuff. Then we went to the store for some Slurpees. I've been craving a cherry cola one for a while now, so I was excited. The girls wanted to get haircuts at Supercuts, and I don't think Casey has had a haircut since just before the first day of school last year, so it was perfect.

Tennis camp

One of the days in Tahoe, Casey and Ava went to tennis camp for the afternoon. Casey has not been excited about the sport of tennis, but when she had the choice of tennis or grocery shopping, she chose tennis. They sat out for the first half of the session and then the counselors were able to convince them to join in. When I arrived early and peeked in, they both seemed like they were participating and having a good time. In the end, Casey said that she didn't know that tennis could be so fun, and that maybe she'll like it when she's older.
