SLO children at play

We went to San Luis Obispo with Kyle, Cami, and Sydney. We hit the beach and you can see the kids had a great time. The temperature was over 100 degrees, so we stayed in the water and ate as much ice cream as possible. We tried some new flavors including motor oil (dark chocolate and kahlua) and Merlot raspberry truffle (just what it sounds like).

I spent a lot of time trying to get all four kids in one picture. Here are my best shots.

Summer birthday celebration

Let the celebrations begin. Casey's class celebrated summer birthdays during the last week of school. She got to go up to the front of the room, wear her birthday hat, and take questions from her fans. Favorite food - avocado rolls. Favorite grade - first. Favorite season - summer. Best friend - lots of them.

Talent show

Casey and her friends decided to try out for the talent show at school. One of her friends came up with the song, "Tomorrow." They practiced at recesses and signed themselves up for tryouts. A couple of days later, they were in! They were very brave and they looked super cute. Eric and I took the day off so we could watch. We are so proud of her.

Colorado

Casey got to add another state to her list when we went to Colorado. Breckenridge was beautiful. When we arrived there were snow flurries!

We went to another children's museum (luckily there was no face paint at this one) and they had crutches and a doctor's area. Casey spent a lot of time in that area! She was thrilled to try crutches and to give checkups to Daddy and cousins. Casey, Louisa, and Bridget also spent a lot of time making pictures that they took back to the hotel and used to decorate their not-so-secret clubhouse corner. They surrounded it with luggage, covered it with little blankets (Casey brought them for that reason), and filled the drawer with a bag of treats (party favor from the wedding). The only way in was to crawl through the tunnel (under the coffee table).

The girls had a great time watching the princess and the groom get married and then waiting in line at the bar to get sparkling cider. They had a great time dancing with Eric's cousins - Steve, Nate, and Adam.

The last picture is the bride, Jayme. Casey wanted to get a picture with just the two of them. The picture is at the best crepe place ever. We went there two days in a row and ate as many as we could.
